Brooklyn is located in both Dane and Green Counties Wisconsin, the Village is conveniently located half way between Madison and Janesville off Highway 14. The neighborly small-town has excellent amenities: a great school system, three Village parks, and a community center. All of this and more is what makes Brooklyn such a great place to live!
Within the last decade, Brooklyn’s population has grown as the village has become known as a wonderful location to raise families and to enjoy the small town quality of life. The Recreation committee has refurbished the playgrounds with new equipment, expanded the summer recreation youth program and has initiated numerous family events. Recent years have shown a renewed commitment to revitalizing the downtown, increasing local economic development and capturing the cultural and employment benefits of living within a 25-mile radius from Madison, Janesville and Monroe.
Brooklyn is located on Wisconsin state highways 92 and 104, which intersect in the village. Blue Mounds is about 18 miles south of Madison from Highway 14. Milwaukee is 98 miles east, Chicago is about 140 miles to the southeast and Minneapolis-St. Paul is 290 miles to the northwest.
The total population is 1401, of which 936 are in Dane County and 465 in Green County.
